International experts and IT Professionals from all over the Philippines will be gathered virtually on November 10 to 12, 2020 for DECODE - the premier cybersecurity conference in the Philippines.

This conference is organized by Trend Micro Inc., a global leader in cybersecurity and this year’s theme, “ELEVATE! Transform Rapidly, Seamlessly, Securely,” calls for transformation in the cyber industry with the rise of new threats concerning organizations.

Experts from all over the world will discuss the developments in the cyberworld. Panels of tech experts will be there to talk about Cybercrime, Data Protection and Privacy, Online Threats, AI (Artificial Intelligence), and more.

DECODE 2020 aims to share to local technology professionals industry trends and new tech in order to empower them to secure the digital infrastructures of their organizations, as well as to inspire them to embark on a continuous learning journey.

This virtual conference is open to IT professionals from different industries for FREE. Aside from its regular sessions, participants will have the chance to interact with the speakers at the networking lounge during breaks.

Trend Micro started this annual cybersecurity conference in 2017 — previously held in Manila — with one common goal which is to spread awareness about the trends in the cyber world. The company has been organizing the conference to augment the cybersecurity skills gap in the Philippines and maintain its expertise in the industry.

Public Advisory: Malicious campaigns taking advantage of the COVID-19 situation

Globe would like to remind the public to be aware of phishing emails and malicious campaigns taking advantage of the COVID-19 situation to steal money and personal or corporate information, as well as infect computers. Here are some cybersecurity measures to protect yourself from these scams: DO NOT open malicious email attachments or click on dubious links in messages. Check links by hovering on them before you click to determine where the actual URL leads to. Read emails and texts carefully and be on the lookout for red flags such as generic greetings, spelling, and grammatical errors. Be wary of any form of communication that asks for your personal information, account credentials, or PINs, most especially those that try to convey urgency to make you act on impulse to enter your personal information. Be sure to get news/information from trusted and official social media news sites only. Share this to your loved ones and friends! #makeITsafePH
