Simultaneous Clean-up Drive by Streetby Delivery Riders and Employees in celebration of Earth Day 2021

In celebration of Earth Day, StreetBy - a Filipino-made and locally-owned mobile lifestyle application, proudly spearheaded their first-ever Clean-up Drive that transpired April 22, 2021. It started 6AM and ran simultaneously in three major cities where Streetby is situated: Cagayan de Oro, Iligan and Malaybalay.  The objective of the initiative is to raise awareness about waste reduction and management and other environmental concerns that needed to be looked into. 10 years ago, a couple Ralph and Aching Rara started a food cart business using a sidecar and named it Burger On Wheels. They started just going around to sell but found a spot near a school in Bulua where they started to flourish and stayed there for 9 years. Fast forward today, they now have a branch open in Nazareth along 8-21 sts. corner chams, just a few meters away from the mosque. They are available in FoodPanda and a franchised branch just opened in Alubijid today! Opol branch will open on the 27th of February!  All their menu items are certified Halal. Cagayan Waterworks Tank - Cagayan de Oro Landmark

The Cagayan Waterworks Tank or the Cagayan de Oro Water Tower is the oldest public structure in Cagayan de Oro City. It survived the carpet bombing of the Americans during World War II. Built in 1921 as the water reservoir of then Cagayan de Misamis with water coming from Malasag Hills. It used to supply water to the residents in town and was the source of water for the fire brigade. This is now the City Museum and located just a few steps from the Gaston Park and the City Hall.

Public Advisory: Malicious campaigns taking advantage of the COVID-19 situation

Globe would like to remind the public to be aware of phishing emails and malicious campaigns taking advantage of the COVID-19 situation to steal money and personal or corporate information, as well as infect computers. Here are some cybersecurity measures to protect yourself from these scams: DO NOT open malicious email attachments or click on dubious links in messages. Check links by hovering on them before you click to determine where the actual URL leads to. Read emails and texts carefully and be on the lookout for red flags such as generic greetings, spelling, and grammatical errors. Be wary of any form of communication that asks for your personal information, account credentials, or PINs, most especially those that try to convey urgency to make you act on impulse to enter your personal information.
